  • Geography

At our school, children explore the world around them and begin to understand how people and places are connected. Following the National Curriculum, they develop their knowledge of the United Kingdom and the wider world, learning about continents, oceans, countries, cities and environments.

Through map work, fieldwork, discussion and practical activities, children learn to ask questions about places, compare different locations, and understand how physical features such as rivers and mountains shape our planet. They also explore how human activity affects the environment and how communities live in different parts of the world.

Geography helps our children to make sense of their surroundings, develop curiosity about the world, and build skills they need to think carefully about the future of our planet.
