In school we are pleased to be working with Shropshire Music Service to offer small group and individual lessons for violin, brass, drums, piano/keyboard, guitar, recorder, flute and singing. Most instruments can be started from Year 2/3, with the exception of flute which is recommended from Year 4.
Shropshire Music Service are a non-profit council organisation dedicated to providing high quality music education for the county's young people. The lessons are not free, but substantial reductions in the cost are available for those in challenging financial circumstances. Shropshire Music Service are committed to supporting students and families on low incomes and some pupils may be entitled to subsidised lessons.
SMS also offer affordable instrument hire for most instruments, along with opportunities to perform in musical groups.
